CR2 is a high-pH concentrate described on the label as an alternative to caustic soda for cleaning and degreasing grease, oils and petroleum residue. Removal of fermentation residue and beerstone in breweries is a separate documented application.
Materials and compatibility
Selection depends on deposits, materials and the brewery's process parameters. Equivalent product names do not establish universal material compatibility.
Application and quantity
The label lists 20:1 for general cleaning, 10:1 for degreasing and 3:1 for heavy degreasing. Confirm mixing direction, material, process and rinsing before use; brewery trials are not a universal recipe.
Safety and limitations
CR2 is not a general water-treatment recommendation and cannot replace caustic soda in every process without validation. Do not mix with acids or oxidisers. Follow the safety sheet, personal protection and effluent-handling requirements.
